A strong local nor’easter is in full swing resulting in a Wind Advisory until 11 pm, a Coastal Flood Advisory until 8 pm and a Coastal Flood Warning from 8 PM this evening to 5 AM Tuesday. Wind will increase to the 25-35 mph range by late this morning, with frequent gusts of 40-45 mph expected to continue through tonight.

No sunshine today with clouds staying locked in. Expect drizzle and pockets of light showers throughout the day. Less rain is expected away from coastal areas west of I-95 with even drier air pushing into inland southern Georgia.
Another soaking is likely along the Jax Beach and areas south and into interior Putnam and Flagler counties tonight and in the morning. Locally heavy downpours are expected, and these could bring another 1-2 inches of rain through Monday morning. There is the potential for significant flooding in St. Augustine Monday from the combination of relentless training rain combining with high tides and waves backing up the drainage.
Cold air on the backside of last night’s low has pushed temps into the mid to upper 50s north of JAX with some areas able to get into the low and mid 60s south.
Tomorrow remains wet and windy. Rain is likely 70% with cold temps in the mid 60s.
