Near record highs continue

Ten degrees too warm today and more to come

. (.)

Temperatures were 8 - 10 degrees warmer than our seasonal averages today.  We should be seeing highs in the upper 80s.  Today we were in the upper 90s and that’s not factoring in the humidity.  Near record highs will continue through the start of the next workweek.  Feels Like temperatures will average 100- 105 degrees.  Scattered showers and isolated storms will be a part of your Friday forecast and then hot and dry this weekend.

A warm night under mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies will lead to another hot afternoon.

Friday will be another day with near record highs with a few showers and storms, 30-50 percent, mainly after 2 p.m. Partly cloudy skies will become mostly cloudy as the sea breezes collide with afternoon highs well above our seasonal averages.  A warm start to the day with lows in the 70s.  Afternoon highs in the upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches, mid to upper 90s inland.  Wind W/SW 5-15 mph.

Showers with isolated storms Friday, some could become strong to isolated severe.  Heat index 100-105 degrees.

This weekend expect hot temperatures to continue with less storm activity.
