Tracking four systems in the tropics and more rain on the way

As the HOT temperatures take over our area, we can expect highs in the 80s on Thursday, but feels-like temperatures will be in the triple-digits for some.

We will continue to see the rain pattern continue through the weekend, and our team of meteorologists is also keeping an eye on the Atlantic.

The development of four different systems is low right now, so we’re not worried but watching what the National Hurricane Center says very closely.

The combination of warm sea surface temperatures and favorable atmospheric conditions could lead to tropical storm formation in the coming weeks. We are days away from the peak of Hurricane Season, so this is not unusual.

For now, residents can expect more rainy afternoons, but keeping an eye on the tropics is always a top goal of my forecasts.
