A sunny day with a few showers mixed in

We’re starting the day on a mild note, headed into another day in the 80s this afternoon with a few showers in the mix of what will be an overall sunny day.

A rip current risk remains in effect for local beaches. This can pose dangers, so take a look at the video by Meteorologist Mark Collins on our website to see how to get out of a rip current safetly.

A dry spell moves in for Wednesday through Friday, followed by another system moving in for the weekend bringing rain into the area for some.

Rain is much needed and useful for the days where the humidity is low and winds are high-- presenting an elevated fire danger.

That’s NOT today, but the showers we get will saturate the ground on days when that does pose a problem.
