The last of today’s storms are weakening over Putnam and Clay counties.
These will drift north with rain and thunder possible for western Duval, eastern Bradford and southern Baker counties. Lightning, locally heavy downpours and gusty wind will accompany these storms as they weaken through 10 - 11 p.m.
Hot and humid conditions return Friday and last through the weekend. Heat Advisories will be possible through Sunday. Remember, heat is the number one weather-related cause of death in the US.
Tropics: In the Gulf, Invest 93 is done although the potential for heavy rain continues tonight along the Gulf Coast.
Evening: Isolated showers and thunderstorms near the St. Johns River, slowly moving inland.
Friday: Heat Advisory possible. Hot and humid with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible after 1-2 p.m. Rain chances are 30-60 percent with better chances west of I-95. Morning lows will be in the 70s. Afternoon highs will reach the 90s inland with upper 80s to low 90s along our beaches. Feels Like temperatures around 100 - 107 degrees. Wind SW/SE 5-15 mph.
Weekend: Showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon, early evening. Heat Advisories will be possible through Sunday as Feels Like temperatures range from 105 to 110 degrees.
