Sunny skies kick off the weekend, there’s more in store

Temperatures will be below normal today, tonight. Mostly sunny with some cloud cover at times possible along our coastal counties. With the proximity of the weak front offshore, clouds will be possible for time to time over eastern counties this afternoon, an isolated showers could also be possible. The high will north tonight, decreasing cloud cover.

Dreary day but the rain is gone

What a dreary and chilly day. At least the rain is gone but it will take a bit longer for the clouds to clear. Eventually the dampness will fade this evening as skies clear after sunset.  Temperatures have not budged today from the 60s. Look for them to dive into the 50s inland and lower 60s near the coast.

STAY ALERT: Wild weather may interrupt our weekend

Very complex weather patter has left many areas of the South cleaning up from moderate to strong severe storms. A tornado watch is in effect west of Jacksonville and these same storms will be moving through NEFL and SEGA by this evening.

Winds of change pick up tonight, windy and cool weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After a warm, sunny, lovely Friday, the winds of change blow tonight. A dry cold front will push through overnight, making for tumbling temperatures down into the chilly low 60s overnight. It will be very windy, with northeasterly winds between 15-20 mph and gusts of up to 30 mph. Sunday starts off in the cool mid 60s and warms up into the mild upper 70s and low 80s. Northeasterly winds will be between 10-15 mph each day and will bring an isolated coastal shower or two onshore.

Warmth returns Friday, cooler and breezy weekend

A cold front pushes through Friday night, allowing for Nor’easter conditions from the weekend into next weekSaturday starts our much cooler, in the low 60s. Expect breezy northeasterly winds between 15-20 mph. Afternoon temperatures will only make it into the mid 70s under mostly sunny skies. Expect mostly sunny skies and northeasterly winds around 15 mph. Monday and Tuesday look very similar and we start to see chances for coastal showers to wander onshore with the consistent northeasterly winds.

Increasing humidity, clouds, and then showers this weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Today was another gorgeous Fall day, topping out in the upper 70s and low 80s. We did see increasing clouds from the south throughout the afternoon and those clouds may obscure any view we might have had of tonight’s launch. Expect cloudy skies and afternoon temperatures only in the mid 70s. Partly cloudy skies are back Monday and Tuesday, with afternoon highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. Wednesday and Thursday warm up- topping out in the mid 80s under partly cloudy skies, but cooler weather kicks off again next Friday.

Wet end to the week, Richard is looking ahead to the weekend

Today: Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms spreading inland through the day. Afternoon highs in the 80s inland and along our beaches. The moisture field from Laura is about to sweep across Jacksonville this weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Once a powerful Category 4 hurricane, Laura has faded into an area of downpours. This tail of extremely tropical air, full of moisture, will be sweeping eastward towards Jacksonville. Clouds once again we will have the potential for very heavy downpours.
