A fantastic Friday kicks off your weekend
Depending on where you are right now it’s mostly sunny or mostly cloudy. Skies will eventually become partly cloudy as the northeasterly wind increases. The onshore flow could bring a few showers to our coastal counties. Seasonal temperatures today will give way to warmer weekend temperatures with coastal showers.

Late day showers and storms, some will continue past sunset. Scattered showers will develop along the front across SE GA then fueled by the sea breeze, pushing west of I-95 late afternoon, or evening. Showers with storms will linger past sunset. Locally heavy rainfall, flooding, gusty wind, and frequent lightning strikes are possible in stronger storms.

A warm start with patchy fog then becoming cloudy with scattered showers, storms, 50-70 percent for NE FL, 30-40 percent for SE GA. A transition day from hot and dry to much needed rainfall will start mainly after the lunch hour. Rounds of wet weather will continue this weekend.
Sunny skies kick off the weekend, there’s more in store
Temperatures will be below normal today, tonight. Mostly sunny with some cloud cover at times possible along our coastal counties. With the proximity of the weak front offshore, clouds will be possible for time to time over eastern counties this afternoon, an isolated showers could also be possible. The high will north tonight, decreasing cloud cover.
Dreary day but the rain is gone
What a dreary and chilly day. At least the rain is gone but it will take a bit longer for the clouds to clear. Eventually the dampness will fade this evening as skies clear after sunset. Temperatures have not budged today from the 60s. Look for them to dive into the 50s inland and lower 60s near the coast.
Winds of change pick up tonight, windy and cool weekend
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After a warm, sunny, lovely Friday, the winds of change blow tonight. A dry cold front will push through overnight, making for tumbling temperatures down into the chilly low 60s overnight. It will be very windy, with northeasterly winds between 15-20 mph and gusts of up to 30 mph. Sunday starts off in the cool mid 60s and warms up into the mild upper 70s and low 80s. Northeasterly winds will be between 10-15 mph each day and will bring an isolated coastal shower or two onshore.

Expect mostly sunny skies and northeasterly winds around 15 mph. Monday and Tuesday look very similar and we start to see chances for coastal showers to wander onshore with the consistent northeasterly winds.
Increasing humidity, clouds, and then showers this weekend
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Today was another gorgeous Fall day, topping out in the upper 70s and low 80s. We did see increasing clouds from the south throughout the afternoon and those clouds may obscure any view we might have had of tonight’s launch. Expect cloudy skies and afternoon temperatures only in the mid 70s. Partly cloudy skies are back Monday and Tuesday, with afternoon highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. Wednesday and Thursday warm up- topping out in the mid 80s under partly cloudy skies, but cooler weather kicks off again next Friday.

The moisture field from Laura is about to sweep across Jacksonville this weekend
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Once a powerful Category 4 hurricane, Laura has faded into an area of downpours. This tail of extremely tropical air, full of moisture, will be sweeping eastward towards Jacksonville. Clouds once again we will have the potential for very heavy downpours. Early next week, heavy storms will be possible on Monday and Tuesday, then we should briefly dry out going into the weekend. Saturday storms returnMore storms on Sunday too!
