Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies with showers possible across southeast Georgia through around midnight.
Increasing wind and rain are on the way as a developing low kicks in another round of nor’easter-like weather. Wind Advisories and Gale Warnings will be in effect through early Sunday morning. Coastal Flood Watches stretch from Palm Coast to Brunswick, including the St. Johns River Basin. Flooding will be possible during high tide. The tides will crest 1.5 to 3.5 feet above normal levels.
Rounds of rain, some locally heavy, are expected as the northeast wind howls along our beaches. A Wind Advisory, Coastal Flood Watch and Gale Warnings will be in effect through early Sunday. The increasing onshore flow will bring sustained winds in the 20 to 30 mph range with gusts up to 45 mph expected through Friday.
The pattern continues early Saturday, then slowly improves through the day. Rain chances and the wind will decrease through the day before clearing during the evening. Cooler temperatures under sunny skies for Sunday with the first of or 50s waiting for us early Monday morning.

Thursday - Friday: Very windy with rounds of rain. Coastal Flooding will be possible along our waterways during the high tide cycle. Morning lows in the upper 60s to low 70s. Afternoon highs in the 70s to low 80s. Rain chances 50-70 percent. Wind: NE 15-25 mph, gusts to 35 mph, stronger gusts possible through Friday.
Hazards: Coastal Flood Advisory, minor coastal flooding will be possible. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. For the Coastal Flood Watch, significant coastal flooding is possible. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5 to 7 feet, increasing to 6 to 10 feet.
Tropics: Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters are investigating Tropical Storm Jerry, which is expected to intensify into a hurricane.
The storm will remain well offshore, but will send waves our way as it heads toward Bermuda.
