Holiday chill to bring light freeze, frost inland

Dense fog and near-record highs expected before holiday chill

Dense fog is expected overnight and early Wednesday. Near record highs are forecast for tomorrow, followed by a holiday chill through early Saturday. Temperatures will drop to near freezing for inland areas, with the potential for light freezes and frost.

Temperatures will warm up on Sunday, with a slight chance of showers, and another front will bring increasing rain chances through early next week.

Becoming partly cloudy to cloudy Wednesday afternoon as the warm southwest breeze builds ahead of the approaching cold front. Showers will be possible from around noon to 6 p.m. Across the area. Rainfall total will be light with southeast Georgia having a slightly better chance of receiving some much-needed rainfall.

Breezy and cooler on Thanksgiving as the skies clear. A light freeze and frost will be possible early Friday and Saturday morning, mainly west of Highway 301/US1.
