Warm Weather Ushers in an ‘Open Window Holiday’

Oh, the weather outside is...warm. That doesn’t sound right.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like...spring. Uh...no.

Oh well, break out the flip flops and get ready for an Open Window Holiday!

Spring-like temperatures for our winter Holidays. The warming trend will continue through the Holidays with much colder temperatures expected for the start of the New Year.

Temperatures will run around 5 to 8 degrees above average in the morning and 8 to 12 degrees above normal in the afternoon through Sunday. The average temperatures this time of year are 45 degrees and 67 degrees. Record highs are in the 80s.

An arctic chill will blast through the area next week. Monday will be near seasonal during the afternoon with much colder temperatures expected on Tuesday and New Year’s Eve morning.

Tonight: Patchy to areas of dense fog.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and warmer as the offshore winds return. Morning lows in the 50s for SE GA and NE FL. Afternoon highs in the 70s to near 80 inland, upper 60s to low 70s along the beaches. Wind: NW/N 5-10 mph. Mostly clear overnight with patchy fog.

Christmas Day: The warming trend continues with lows in the 50s and afternoon highs in the 70s.
