Cold Front Brings Breezy Conditions, A Few Showers to Sunday Forecast

Freeze watch issued for Georgia counties as temperatures drop behind Sunday’s system

Rainfall forecast over the next week.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It will be mild tonight with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Clouds will increase overnight ahead of Sunday’s system.

A front will bring breezy conditions along with a few showers to our area on Sunday.

A cold front will user in breezy conditions on Sunday with a few showers, especially late Sunday morning into the early afternoon. Due to the passage of the front in the afternoon, temperatures will only climb into the mid to upper 60s. Much cooler compared to Saturday!

Cooler weather will move into our area next week.

High pressure will move back into our area early next week, which means we will see more sunshine. It will be much cooler on Monday and Tuesday behind the front. Highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper 50s and Tuesday will be in the low to mid 60s.

We do have the potential to see a frost and freeze on Monday morning with temperatures in the 30s. A FREEZE WATCH has been posted for a portion of our Georgia counties for Monday morning.

Cooler weather will stick around through most of the upcoming week. Highs will range from the 50s and 60s. Another front will likely bring a few showers to our area on Wednesday through early Thursday morning.

Temperatures will likely remain below normal as we head through the month.

Looking ahead the pattern will likely remain cooler. In fact, the Climate Prediction Center has our area highlighted in a high probability of below normal temperatures.
