Freeze Warning issued for Southeast Georgia and inland Northeast Florida

Freezing and frosty temperatures through Friday. Rain chances will develop late Friday and continue through early Saturday. Much colder air will rush in behind the front with Hard Freeze conditions reaching the beaches on Sunday.

A Freeze Warning will blanket southeast Georgia and will be in effect from 11 p.m. - 9 a.m. A Freeze Warning for areas west of I-95 will be in effect from 1 a.m. - 9 a.m. A Coastal Frost Advisory will be in effect from 2 a.m. - 9 a.m. for areas east of I-95 for Duval, St. Johns and Flagler counties.

Wind advisories and Cold Weather Advisories will be likely with wind chill values reaching the single digits late Saturday into Sunday morning.

What about the chance of snow? The national models continue to show the potential for snow, but the chances are down to around 15 percent for areas of southeast Georgia.

Tonight: Clear and cold. Freeze Warning 11 p.m. - 9 a.m. for SE GA.

Thursday: Freezing Warning and Frost Advisory through 9 a.m. Morning lows in the 20s and 30s inland, 30s and 40s along our beaches. Afternoon highs in the 50s and low 60s. Wind: N 10-15 mph. Light freeze with frost overnight into early Friday.

Friday: Light freeze and possible frost early then warmer with near seasonal highs in the 60s.

This weekend: A slight chance of showers will develop late Friday into Saturday, followed by windy and cold conditions Saturday night through Sunday.
