Much needed rain today, with more on the way this weekend

Valentine’s Day promises sun before Sunday rain

. (.)

I had to remember which side of the steering wheel the windshield wipers were on.

It’s been a while, but we have received some light rain. Like a telethon, every little bit helps. Scattered showers with light rain will continue through late tonight as the cold front slides south.

Rain Totals (Rain Totals)

Northeast winds return following the front with clearing skies and a cool afternoon on Thursday. Sunny skies with seasonal temperatures will wrap up the week with warmer temperatures expected on Valentine’s Day.

The love continues Sunday as more rain is on the way! The models continue to show appreciable rainfall totals for northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. The GFS, as usual, is the wettest model. A blend of the two models shows the potential for 1-2 inches for inland southeast Georgia and around a half inch to an inch of rain for northeast Florida.
