Showers Expected as Front Moves South starting Friday

Warmer temperatures tomorrow with an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday.

Partly cloudy and warmer on Thursday with a slight chance of showers for southeast Georgia. Rain chances will increase areawide Friday and Saturday. Rain chances will develop around daybreak on Friday for SE GA, with the bulk of the rain staying north of the state line through Friday evening.

The front will slowly move south with rain chances building over northeast Florida Friday evening through Saturday evening.

Rainfall models are steady with totals of around half an inch to an inch of rain for Georgia, then decreasing to around half an inch as the front sags south.

Clearing skies on Sunday with light wind and near seasonal highs.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, mild, light wind, patchy fog.

Thursday: Patchy fog then becoming partly cloudy. Slight chance of showers for southeast Georgia, 20 - 40 percent. Morning lows in the 40s and 50s. Afternoon highs in the 70s to low 80s inland, 60s to low 70s along the beaches. Becoming cloudy overnight with patchy fog.

Friday - Saturday: Increasing rain chances for NE FL and SE GA. Most of the rain will be over SE GA on Friday with the showers and storms slowly moving south, with the front, Friday night through Saturday evening. Afternoon highs remain near seasonal.
