Patchy to areas of dense sea fog continue along our beaches. This will expand and move inland this evening and overnight as the wind becomes light.
The breezy onshore winds are expected through the upcoming weekend and into next week. This will result in elevated surf and an increasing risk for rip currents this week.
The warming trend continues with record to near record highs late this week and weekend.
Foggy conditions tonight along our beaches and inland areas. Coastal fog will spread inland through the night and early Wednesday.
The dry conditions and extreme drought also continue, with only a slight chance of sea breeze showers from Friday.
The St. Johns River Water Management District has issued a Modified Phase II Severe Water Shortage for portions of northeast and central Florida due to continued limited rainfall and declining water levels. The Modified Phase II declaration applies to portions of Baker, Bradford and Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns counties. Portions of Alachua County, excluding unincorporated areas overseen by the Suwannee River Water Management District.
Under a Phase II water shortage landscape irrigation is limited to one day a week. All water users, including domestic, utility, and commercial, are encouraged to voluntarily reduce water use. Wasteful and unnecessary water use is prohibited. Residents, businesses, and property managers are encouraged to proactively plan for extended dry conditions and the potential for additional restrictions.

Currently, the watering schedule for the entire District remains as follows:
- Homes with odd numbered address, ending in a 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9, water on Saturday.
- Even numbered address, ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8, water on Sunday.
- Water only when needed and not between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Irrigation is limited to no more than three-quarters of an inch of water per zone and no more than one hour per zone on your scheduled day.
- Restrictions apply to private wells and pumps, ground or surface water and water from public and private utilities.
