Patchy to areas of dense fog, along our beaches and inland areas will return tonight and early Thursday. Thew fog will develop over the water and along our beaches this evening and then spread inland tonight.
Onshore winds will continue into next week, resulting in elevated surf and an increasing risk of rip currents.
The warming trend lingers this weekend with record to near record highs.

Tonight: Patchy to areas of dense fog for coastal counties and inland areas. A foggy start will give way to mostly cloudy skies then becoming partly cloudy. Some coastal areas will have sea fog lingering through late morning, afternoon. Morning lows in the 50s to low 60s. Afternoon highs in the 60s and 70s along our beaches, 70s to low 80s inland. Wind SE 5-10 mph. Patchy to areas of dense fog overnight.
Friday - Sunday: Dense sea and inland fog will remain a concern through the weekend. Warming with record to near record highs and mainly dry aside from a sea breeze shower or two Sunday late afternoon, early evening.
When will we see some rain? That is the big question and based on current models, it looks like we will remain dry through around Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
The dry conditions and extreme drought continue. The St. Johns River Water Management District has issued a Modified Phase II Severe Water Shortage for portions of northeast Florida due to the limited rainfall and declining water levels.
Under a Phase II water shortage, landscape irrigation is limited to one day a week. All water users are encouraged to reduce water use.

Currently, the watering schedule for the entire District remains as follows:
- Homes with odd-numbered addresses, ending in a 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9, water on Saturday.
- Even numbered address, ending in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8, water on Sunday.
- Water only when needed and not between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Irrigation is limited to no more than three-quarters of an inch of water per zone and no more than one hour per zone on your scheduled day.
- Restrictions apply to private wells and pumps, ground or surface water and water from public and private utilities.
