Cooler mornings follow downpours in southeast Georgia and Florida

Scattered downpours bring relief before a stretch of sunny days

. (.)

Scattered showers with downpours continue near and along US 17 and I-95 from Duval to Glynn County, and inland across Charlton and Brantley counties. This stretch of our coastal counties saw some of our highest rainfall totals. The showers will wind down around 7 p.m. Isolated showers may persist through around 10 p.m. as a dry front moves south.

A cooler start to Thursday and Friday, with sunny skies and seasonal afternoon temperatures. Temperatures will be a little warmer this weekend, although models have backed off from near-record highs. Rain chances will return with the sea breeze next week.
