JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An isolated shower or storm will be possible for the rest of the day with temperatures in the 90s.
Tonight will be partly cloudy and warm with temperatures in the 70s.
It will be hot and humid to start the new week. Highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper 90s and when you factor in the humidity it will feel like it’s around 105 degrees.
Scattered showers and storms will develop in the afternoon and evening. Heavy rain, frequent lightning and gusty wind is possible in any storm.
Storm coverage will remain widespread on Tuesday with highs near 90 degrees.
Regarding the drought, the latest drought monitor reflects improvement across our area. Several areas have been downgraded to a moderate and severe drought which reflects the rainfall we saw over the past week.
While we are still in a deficit, rainfall will once again lead to more improvement in the next outlook.
