The Atlantic sea breeze got an early head start. Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue across our inland areas, mainly west of Highway 301 to I-75. The earlier start will mean an early finish. Showers and thunderstorms, some potentially strong, will move out of our forecast circle before sunset. A mild night under partly cloudy skies with patchy fog late is expected.
Patchy fog early then hot and humid Wednesday through Friday. Mainly inland showers and thunderstorms as the northeast breeze continues. Temperatures will trend near seasonal with Feels Like temperatures around 100-105 degrees.
The southerly flow returns this weekend. As the wind shifts from the southwest to the southeast, our rain chances will increase near and along I-95 and the River. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible from late afternoon through early evening, with most weakening and fading after sunset.
Tonight: Scattered showers with storms will continue to shift to the west-southwest, near and along Highway 301 to I-75, through early evening.
Wednesday: Hot and humid with inland showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the 70s to near 80 degrees. Afternoon high in the 90s inland, 80s to low 90s along the beaches. Rain chance: 10-20 percent- I-95, 30-50 percent inland. Wind: NE 10-15, gusting to 20 mph.
Thursday - Friday: Hot and humid conditions continue with Feels Like temperatures around 100-105 degrees. Rain chances will average 20-30 percent - I-95, 30-50 percent inland.
Looking ahead: 4th of July weekend: Increasing chance of sea breeze showers and storms near and along I-95. Most of the activity will develop after 2 p.m. and linger through around 8 p.m.
