JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An isolated shower or storm is possible for the rest of the day. It will be warm and muggy with temperatures near 90 degrees.
Tonight will be partly cloudy and warm with temperatures in the 70s.
Storm coverage will remain low on Sunday as drier air will continue to filter in. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s.
The disturbance that has a MEDIUM (40%) chance for development will eventually push away from the region early next week. The highest rainfall totals will be west of I-75. Regardless, sea breeze interaction will keep showers and storms in the forecast early next week.
Highs early next week will be in the low 90s.

Regarding the drought, the latest drought monitor reflects improvement across our area. Several areas have been downgraded to a moderate and severe drought which reflects the rainfall we saw over the past week.
While we are still in a deficit, rainfall will once again lead to more improvement in the next outlook.
