JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A few isolated storms are expected to linger for several hours. The biggest threats are heavy downpours and gusty winds 40-60 mph.
The highest chances for strong storms Saturday will be near U.S. 301 to I-95, while northwest winds are keeping the Atlantic sea breeze close to the coast.
Sunday’s heat, lingering storm threat
Ahead of any storms, temperatures are expected to climb into the mid to upper 90s across most areas.
High temperatures Sunday are expected to remain above normal, generally in the mid-90s, with some areas possibly reaching the upper 90s.
