JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Scattered showers and storms are possible for the rest of the day. It will be warm and muggy with temperatures in the 70s and 80s.
Isolated instances of flooding will be possible, especially for areas that see several rounds of showers and storms.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy and warm with temperatures in the 70s.
Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low to mid 90s. Isolated showers and storms will develop in the afternoon and evening.
Isolated instances of flooding will be possible once again due to the slow movement of the activity.
Make sure to keep an eye to the sky and storms could develop rapidly. Activity will eventually dissipate later in the evening.
Slightly drier air will begin to move into the region on Tuesday and Wednesday. This will lower the rain and storm coverage and increase our temperature each day. Temperatures will soar into the mid to upper 90s by the middle to the end of the week.
The heat index will approach if not exceed 105 degrees.

Regarding the drought, the latest drought monitor reflects improvement across our area. Several areas have been downgraded to a moderate drought which reflects the rainfall we saw over the past week.
While we are still in a deficit, rainfall will once again lead to more improvement in the next outlook.
