According to Wired2Fish, the river has some of the finest sight fishing in the country and the best time to head out is in the spring when big Florida-strain largemouth head into shallow water, sticking to small relatively predictable areas and around boat docks.
The site said that people can expect constant action throughout the area so if you're looking for some great fishing the warm summer sun, the St. Johns River is the place to be.
