JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was investigating a rash of car break-ins within a few blocks of each other in neighborhoods off Craven Road, between Baymeadows and Sunbeam Road.

The first robbery happened on Agincourt Lane. Cars on Barnstaple Lane, Kincardine, and Ballinger Drive were also burglarized.

Police said in some cases the car windows were broken.  Video games, college textbooks, wallets and jewelry were stolen.  Neighbors think police need to step up patrols.

"I guess the robbers want to see in so they just break the windows and if they get nothing, then they go on to the next window," said Norm Blum.

One victim said her credit card was used over the weekend at gas stations in northwest Jacksonville.
