JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two brothers and another man were arrested over the weekend, accused in the shooting death of a man whose body was found in the Trout River.
Terrell Reed, 22, and Tevin Reed, 19, and Rashard Philmore, 18, are charged with robbery and murder in the death of Jeffrey May early Saturday.
According to a police report, Terrell Reed went to a home on Winton Drive in Northwest Jacksonville with May and another man to discuss a cocaine buy.
Tevin Reed and Philmore were already there, and they pulled guns, according to the report.
There was a scuffle, and May was fatally shot, while Tevin Reed was shot in the hand, according to the report.
Tevin Reed was taken to Shands Jacksonville Medical Center and then to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. There he told police what happened, according to the police report.
Terrell Reed and Philmore eventually went to the Sheriff's Office, and as a result of their conversations, May's body was found in the river, weighted down by a cinder block, according to the report.
