Man seen in surveillance video sought in Westside killing

36-year-old found shot to death Tuesday morning

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police in Jacksonville have released surveillance video of a man wanted in the killing of a 36-year-old man Tuesday on the Westside.

The video shows a man described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds, with a medium complexion, low hair, and between the ages of 40 and 50. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and brown pants.

The man goes by the nickname "Dread" and drives a gold, older four-door Toyota Camry or Avalon, police said. They said the car has a spoiler and light tint on the windows.

Police said the man seen in the video shot and killed Keith Sterling on the front porch of a home in the 3900 block of Lane Avenue South, between Jammes Road and Interstate 295, about 10:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said Sterling was at the house when the man drove up, got out of the car, pulled a handgun from his waistband, shot Sterling and drove off.
