JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reported two men were shot in Northwest Jacksonville Tuesday evening.
JSO said the drive-by shooting happened near the intersection of West 32nd Street and Moncrief Road.
Two men were shot in the legs and were taken to UF Health. Their conditions are unknown.
Witnesses said the shooter's vehicle was gold, but no other details about the vehicle's make or model are available. Authorities said the vehicle was seen heading east on 32nd Street.
Officers at the scene also had no details on suspect descriptions. They said it is too early to say whether the shooting is gang-related.
Donald Foy, president of MAD DADS said the violence seen Tuesday night and in the past month is exactly why fighting crime is so important.
“We have to set up to where there has to be a stable relationship between the community and JSO so they can call them when a murder happens,” Foy said. “The relationship is not there with the community and JSO.”
Police don’t have much to go on in the way of suspect descriptions.
An adult was arrested at the scene, but officers said the arrest had nothing to do with the incident.
If you have any information about this shooting you're asked to JSO or Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
