Afternoon thunderstorms to impact areas mostly west of I-95 in Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sea breeze storms will develop today as the southerly winds turn easterly, pushing into the west coast sea breeze near US 301. Highs will be in the low 90s, upper 80s along the coast. Stormy weather could start as early as 1 p.m. inland near I-75, moving east towards the river by 3 p.m.

• Gusty winds
• Frequent lightning
• Localized flooding

Mostly cloudy skies will develop across the area. Beaches will stay on the dry side of the rain. There’s a moderate rip current risk throughout Thursday along the Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida coast.
