Robinson was convicted of these charges earlier this month.
In September 2011, officers arrived at a Steele Street residence and found the victim, 52-year-old Jimmie Gatlin, dead inside.
The investigation revealed that Robinson, who lived with the victim and two other roommates, became angry after discovering his keys were stolen. Robinson accused the roommates of taking his keys and threatened to kill someone if they were not returned.
After leaving the residence, Robinson returned a few hours later and began banging on his roommate’s bedroom doors.
When Gatlin walked out of his bedroom to tell Robinson to stop banging on the door, Robinson pulled out his gun and shot the victim in the chest.
