According to Orlando police, Titus Bernard, 29, called police to say that he shot Broner, who was found dead on the floor of the store.

Police told WKMG-TV that its initial investigation showed that Broner, who was a convicted felon, started an argument with Bernard, and Broner pulled a gun that was partially concealed in his clothing.

Bernard, who has a valid concealed weapons permit, drew his gun and fired several shots at Broner, who was struck and killed, police said.

Orlando police said Bernard has cooperated with their investigation and provided a statement, which has thus far been corroborated by witnesses and evidence.

It's not known what they were arguing about.

No others were injured in the shooting.

An investigation is ongoing.
