ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday released the incident reports from the deputies who responded to the Pulse nightclub mass shooting two weeks ago.
Many of the reports state that gunfire could be heard from inside the club when officers arrived.
The reports also state that there were 127 deputies on the scene plus an additional 17 deputies in staging, and list the names of the 21 deputies who entered the building.
Orlando Health said as of 6:30 p.m. Saturday:
- 44 victims have been treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center
- 9 people have died
- 27 people have been discharged
- 8 people remain in the hospital
Surgeons have performed 61 operations on the victims since the incident, Orlando Health said. Three patients were listed in critical condition and five patients were in stable condition.
