County Road 220 bridge replacement, widening project complete and open to traffic Clay County is expanding a different portion of County Road 220 to four lanes from near Henley Road to Hollars Place. (WJXT)
CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The County Road 220 bridge replacement and four-lane widening project is complete and open to traffic.
The project was completed ahead of schedule, with no workplace accidents reported during construction.
Phase 1 began in December 2024 and included intersection improvements at Rideout Ferry Road.
Phase 2 began in January 2025 and included construction of a new four-lane bridge over Little Black Creek. The new bridge replaces the previous structure, which was built in 1947.
The improvements are expected to improve traffic flow and connectivity along the corridor.
