Man sentenced to 20 years in 2015 stabbing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 40-year-old Jacksonville man was sentenced Friday afternoon to 20 years in prison for manslaughter.

Marlon Dwayne Williams pleaded guilty to the charge earlier this month.

In March 2015, Williams and the victim, 51-year-old Patrick Pitter, were playing cards at the Eveready Restaurant and Lounge when the two of them got into a verbal altercation.

During the argument, Williams pulled out a knife and stabbed Pitter twice.

Williams then fled the scene.
