FSCJ alerts students of 'fondling incident' on Deerwood campus

School calls it 'one time occurence between two students'

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A warning was sent to students Wednesday night about a "fondling incident" on the Deerwood campus of Florida State College at Jacksonville, according to the alert. 

The incident happened Tuesday evening, but wasn't reported to the school's security deparment until Wednesday evening, FSCJ spokesperson Jill Johnson told News4Jax.

"Our investigation has revealed this is a one-time occurrence between two of our students in which a male student allegedly inappropriately touched a female student while on campus," Johnson said. "We have reviewed surveillance video that helped us determine the individual involved. At this time, all involved parties have been interviewed and the College will take appropriate administrative action as deemed necessary."
