Deputies said the incident happened Monday at Hawn's home on Stonebridge Drive while the two were arguing.

According to investigators, Hawn accused her boyfriend of taking her pain pills. When he denied it, deputies said, she punched, scratched and kicked him.

As he tried to walk out the front door to get away, deputies said, Hawn grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed him in the forehead.

Next-door neighbor Lori Waddington told News4Jax that she and her little sister were watching through their window when deputies arrived.

"Mostly, we just saw her as she was being put into the back of a police car. It was really shocking, personally, because she was a good neighbor. She seemed like a nice woman," Waddington said. "She didn’t seem like someone who would be violent.”

Neighbors said Hawn is a mother. It’s unclear if children were in the home during the fight. Waddington said Hawn appeared to have personal problems.

“Recently, she seemed like she was cheering up and stuff, which is why this is even more surprising. I mean she seemed like a young mom," Waddington said.

Investigators said that the boyfriend had visible injuries on his body that were consistent with the story he told deputies. News4Jax spoke with him over the phone on Wednesday, and he said he's doing OK.

Hawn was booked into the Clay County Jail on $25,000 bond.
