19-year-old accused of killing musican during drug deal

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 19-year-old is charged with killing an aspiring musician who was found dead July 9 inside a car at a Northside apartment complex.

Jacksonville police arrested Patrick Steadman on Saturday and charged him in the shooting death of 21-year-old Richard Allen Green, who was found dead at the Highlander Apartments on Monaco Drive, off Dunn Avenue.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Steadman met Green for a drug deal, attempted to rob him, then ran from the area after the shooting.

Green was also known as Lil Richard, Richy Rich and Billion.

According to his obituary, Green (pictured, left) just released "Make It Better," which talked about the senseless dying taking place in Duval County and around the world. 

Steadman is charged with armed robbery, murder and possession of a weapon by a convicted delinquent adult. He was ordered held without bond.

According to court records, Steadman was arrested last year on charges of trespassing and not having a valid driver's license.
