According to an arrest affidavit obtained by News4Jax, a Nassau County deputy was investigating a theft case in which Wiley was the suspect. During the course of the investigation, the deputy made contact with Willey via telephone. Willey told the deputy he was sitting in his pickup truck outside a CVS, so the investigator had another deputy meet Willey and detain him in the CVS parking lot where he could be questioned about the theft case.

According to authorities, because Willey had a history of being violent toward law enforcement and was thought to be armed, the deputy who arrived on scene ordered Willey out of his truck and Willey complied. He was placed in the back of the deputy’s patrol car after giving the deputy consent to search his vehicle.

A search of Willey’s vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia consistent with trafficking and selling narcotics. The search also turned up crystal meth, and a liquid substance used to filter narcotics before the drugs are loaded into a syringe. In addition to the meth and liquid, the deputy also located several syringes.

Willey was charged with four illegal drug felonies and two illegal drug misdemeanors.

His bond was set at $88,000.
