I-95 NB rolling roadblock planned on Jacksonville's Southside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A rolling roadblock on Interstate 95 northbound will be in place Monday and Tuesday between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. as part of the I-95 Overland Bridge Project, the Florida Department of Transportation said. 

Northbound traffic from north of Baymeadows Road to north of Emerson Street will be affected, FDOT said.

Drivers should be prepared to stop, and traffic control officers will be on-site at several points.

The roadblock is necessary to install overhead sign panels, according to FDOT.

Drivers should stay alert and follow the posted speed limit through the construction zone. Drivers are also encouraged to watch for additional signs.
