JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A second arrest has been made in the case of a Jacksonville Navy veteran who was shot and killed in his Oceanway home.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Kyle Simpson, 50, was killed when he interrupted a burglary in February. Police said two men escaped in a black SUV.

Soon after, officers arrested 19-year old Maleek Williams. Williams is charged with murder and armed burglary in the shooting.

Court records indicate the second man was picked up in November.

Police have now charged Perty Mathis, 19, with murder.

Mathis was also arrested in 2014 for bringing a gun to Jackson high School when he was 16, police said.
