Records show Clifton was moved to the Nassau County jail Thursday afternoon, where he remains in custody on charges of child abuse and criminal mischief in lieu of $10,000 bail.
The arrest stems from an April 22 incident involving Clifton and a couple he has history with that began at a Callahan gas station and spilled out onto the road, according to the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.
One of the victims filmed the incident. Deputies said video shows Clifton smashing the couple's car window with a baseball bat. A 9-month-old child inside was showered with shattered glass.
Corrections records show Clifton was released from prison after serving six months of a 15-month sentence for simple battery. He has other arrests, including one for domestic battery.
