The death was reported shortly before 9 a.m. at the railroad tracks along Roosevelt Boulevard, between Edgewood Avenue and Plymouth Street.

Police said the man was spotted by a person on a passing Amtrak train. He was found lying between the tracks.

It's possible the man was hit by more than one train. Police said investigators are working with CSX security to see which trains traveled through the area.
