Nearly 2 years into the pandemic, are you still stocking up on supplies?

When the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic in March 2020, grocery stores, pharmacies and other retailers across the county and locally saw shortages of products.

With shoppers buying items like toilet paper in bulk, some stores had to place limits on certain products.

Now, nearly two years into the pandemic, The Wall Street Journal reports that shoppers are still hoarding.

According to WSJ, the “bulk-buying habit is expected to stick as people eat more at home, supply remains uncertain and inflation rears up,” so “retailers and producers are shifting operations as a result.”
