Thousands flock to Oregon eclipse festival Organizers say at least 30,000 tickets for the event were sold

An estimated 10,000 people call Prineville, Oregon, home, according to recent U.S. Census data. But at least three times that number of people are visiting this week.
Crowds flocked to Prineville to celebrate the 2017 solar eclipse. The small city lies in the path of totality, meaning those there will have a complete view of the once-in-a-lifetime event.
The majority of visitors showed up for a week-long festival featuring live music, family activities and camping under the stars, among other attractions.
The Prineville Police Department took aerial photographs of the massive crowd arriving and setting up over the weekend. It's enormous enough that it could be mistaken for a small town from above.
