The Georgia Department of Public Health on Monday reported 1,736 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19. Of those cases, 30 were reported in the six Southeast Georgia counties tracked by News4Jax.
As of Monday, a total of 792,509 confirmed cases had been reported by the state Department of Public Health.

The agency on Monday reported 33 additional confirmed deaths related to COVID-19, including one in Ware County, bringing the state’s total to 13,997 confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic.
According to the state Department of Public Health, 6,870,677 tests have been performed in the state, which had an 11.1% positivity rate, as of Monday.
Georgia was reporting a total of 174,298 antigen positive cases and 1,931 “probable” deaths on Monday. For more on those categories, click here.

On Monday, 24 additional hospitalizations were reported, bringing the state’s total to 53,403 since the outbreak began.
