Massive drug bust ends with 55 of 56 arrests in Glynn County

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – A recent drug trafficking operation in Glynn County and St. Simons Island led to the arrest of 55 people.

Investigators said the drug trafficking organization distributed massive amounts of meth, MDMA, fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana throughout the community.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Atlanta division, 55 of the 56 people indicted in the drug trafficking case were arrested and now face various possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance charges.

Some also face firearm charges.

More than 150 law enforcement officers from multiple agencies throughout Georgia and Northeast Florida assisted in the operation.
