‘MythBusters’ host dies of sudden brain aneurysm at 49

Grant Imahara, the electrical engineer and roboticist who rose to fame as a host of the show “MythBusters,” died Monday at the age of 49, according to Discovery Channel. (Credit: Grant Imahara Twitter)
The former host of the Discovery Channel’s “Mythbusters” and influential popular science personality Grant Imahara has died.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Imahara died of a brain aneurysm. The Discovery Channel also released a statement which reads in part,

“We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man.”
Imahara was 49.
