MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 68-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a rear-end crash in Marion County on Tuesday.
Around 5:15 p.m., a 51-year-old Ocala woman was driving a sedan north on U.S. 41 while the 68-year-old man was on a motorcycle driving behind the sedan in the same lane, according to FHP.

Troopers said that when the sedan slowed down to make a left turn onto SW 25th Place, the motorcyclist failed to stop and ran into the back of the vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital. The 68-year-old died from his injuries, and the woman suffered serious injuries, the report said.
