71-year-old killed, 19-year-old seriously injured in Nassau County crash, troopers say No description found
A 71-year-old Fernandina Beach woman was killed and a 19-year-old Fernandina Beach man was seriously injured in a crash Sunday afternoon in Nassau County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the two-vehicle crash happened shortly after 12:30 p.m at Amelia Concourse and Old Nassauville Road.
According to FHP, an SUV was traveling east on Amelia Concourse as a sedan was making a left turn from northbound Nassauville Road to westbound Amelia Concourse. Troopers said the sedan had a solid green traffic signal, but the driver of the SUV didn’t stop and struck the side of the sedan.
Troopers said the 71-year-old driver of the sedan died and the 19-year-old driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries.
