1 shot, killed in Jacksonville, police say JSO: Victim was found off Normandy Boulevard

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A person died after being shot Thursday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said it was notified about 10 p.m. that a person with at least one gunshot wound was driven to a hospital by another person. Police said life-saving measures were unsuccessful.
According to the witness, the victim was found along Normandy Boulevard near Herlong Road, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Detectives are investigating. They said they are working to identify the victim and canvas the area for any witnesses.
