61-year-old woman hit by van, killed in Columbia County

LAKE CITY, Fla – A 61-year-old woman died after she was hit by a van in Columbia County Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The FHP report said the van was traveling west on US 90, east of Northwest Desi Court in Lake City, when the van hit a woman while she was trying to cross US 90.

The woman died at the scene, and the crash remains under investigation.

The 45-year-old man driving the van was not injured.
