JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Jaguars fans took their gameday spirit to the streets of San Marco Saturday for the first-ever Quarterback Crawl — a bar hop through 12 local restaurants and bars, complete with quarterback-themed wigs.
“Given the really positive response, I think we’re definitely going to do it again,” said Leena Barghouthi, the organizer with Elle Bar Marketing.

For many attendees, the event was as much about supporting local businesses as it was about football. Fan David Smith said the crawl gave people a reason to come together.
“Celebrating the Jags, showing some support, you know, for the community, for the bars,” Smith said. “Just trying to have a good time.”
The event also drew newer fans to the fold. Lisa Pawul, who recently relocated from Cleveland, said she was already embracing her new team.
“I’m a Jacksonville fan having a great time, lovely meeting new people,” Pawul said.
Not everyone was just there for the party — some fans had their eyes on the bigger picture. One attendee made clear what he expects from the Jags this season.
“They just need to win in the playoffs,” he said. “Any amount of wins in the regular season won’t amount to much if you can’t finish it.”
